Testing & As-Built Certification

Our Services - Testing & As-Built Certification

On the lead up to first completions we will liaise with the Design Team ensuring all As-Built information has been collated and verified prior to our engineers arrival

As-Built Calculation and Energy Performance Certificates

As-Built Calculation and Energy Performance Certificates confirm the As-Built Performance of the Dwelling or Building and are required as part of Building Control Final Sign-Off to confirm compliance with Approved Document L1 and L2. Before these documents can be issued confirmation of the address and final construction specifications will be required along with the appropriate Air Permeability Certificate.

As-Built Calculation and Energy Performance Certificates

Airtightness testing

Minneapolis Mode 3 Door Blower

On booking of the test(s) confirmation of the date and approximate time of the test will be provided, this notification will identify the necessary readiness of the dwellings or buildings to be tested. Prior to arrival our engineers will have carried out all calculations necessary to perform the test(s) and before commencing will carry out a brief inspection of the dwellings/buildings and temporarily seal all designed ventilation and chimneys. Immediately upon completion of each test the Site Team will be notified of the result and certification uploaded to our secure server before our engineer leaves site. In the event of a failure to deliver a compliant test the Site Team will be notified and given the opportunity to make good any minor non compliance issues or arrange for alternative test date. If our SAP & EPC services have been included, the upload of the Air Permeability Certificate will trigger the issue of the As-Built SAP and EPC. If testing is performed a.m. generally certification is provided p.m. and the following morning if p.m. testing is provided. All our testing is carried out by fully accredited Air Tightness Testing and Measurement Association (ATTMA) accredited engineers utilising UKAS calibrated equipment as required under AD L1and L2 of the Building Regulations and carry ATTMA identification cards and copies of their equipment calibration certificates.

On booking of the test(s) confirmation of the date and approximate time of the test will be provided, this notification will identify the necessary readiness of the dwellings or buildings to be tested in accordance with a pre-determined testing regime, usually Building Control or in some cases, the Client if all dwellings are required to be tested to standards beyond that required under the Building Regulations. Prior to arrival our engineers will have carried out all calculations necessary to perform the test(s) and before commencing will carry out a brief inspection of the dwellings/buildings.
